Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Literari (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Literari is a reading tracker and journal for iOS. The App allows you to log books, track reading progress, set annual goals, build reading streaks, and connect with friends. Literari Unlimited is an optional paid subscription that unlocks premium features.

3. User Accounts

You must create an account to use the App. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

Literari Unlimited is available as an auto-renewing subscription through Apple’s In-App Purchase system. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings. All prices are subject to change.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of the content you create within the App, including reading notes, reflections, book data, and shared lists or collections. By using the App, you grant us a license to store and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the service. You are solely responsible for the content you create and share. We do not pre-screen user content, but we reserve the right to review and remove any content that violates these Terms, at our sole discretion.

6. Acceptable Use & Shared Content

You agree not to misuse the App, including but not limited to uploading illegal content, harassing other users, attempting to breach security, or using the App for any unlawful purpose.

When using shared lists, collections, or any other publicly-visible features, you agree not to post, share, or distribute content that is objectionable, offensive, abusive, defamatory, hateful, sexually explicit, graphically violent, or otherwise harmful. Shared lists and collections are intended for book-related content; using them for spam, commercial promotion, or any purpose unrelated to reading is also prohibited.

We reserve the right to remove any content, suspend or permanently ban accounts that violate these terms, restrict access to sharing features, or take any other action we deem necessary to maintain a safe and respectful community — all at our sole discretion and without prior notice.

7. Intellectual Property

The App, its design, branding, and original code are owned by Literari. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the App without explicit permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the App, including data loss or service interruptions, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. Material changes will be communicated within the App.
